🏠 MODULE 5: MY NEW HOUSE

1. Prepositions of Place (Where is it?)

Prepositions of place describe where someone or something is. They are useful when giving directions or describing positions.

🍽️ MODULE 6: FOOD, PLEASE

1. Countable vs. Uncountable Nouns

Countable nouns can be counted, while uncountable nouns cannot. This affects how we use “There is” and “There are”.

1. Giving Directions

  • Turn left (↩️): “Turn left after the park.”
  • Go straight: “Walk straight ahead for 5 minutes.”
  • Cross the road: “Be careful when you cross the road.”

2. Rules using “MUST” or “DON’T”

  • You must be quiet in the library.
  • You must not (don’t) run in the park.
  • You must wear a seatbelt in the car.

3. Time – The Quarter

We use “quarter” to describe 15 minutes of time.

  • Quarter past = 15 minutes after the hour. (3:15 → “It’s a quarter past three.”)
  • Quarter to = 15 minutes before the hour. (2:45 → “It’s a quarter to three.”)

4. Animal Plurals

  • wolf → wolves (change “f” to “ves”)
  • fox → foxes (add “es”)
  • sheep → sheep (same form)
  • deer → deer (same form)

1. Talking About the Past (Simple Past Tense)

The past tense describes actions that already happened. Some verbs are regular (add -ed), while others are irregular.

  • island – land surrounded by water
  • beach – sandy area near the sea
  • forest – large area of trees
  • river – long, flowing water body

🌍 MODULE 10: THE WORLD AROUND US

1. Comparative & Superlative Adjectives

Comparatives are used to compare two things. Superlatives compare three or more things and show the “most” or “least.”
