🗺️ Part 1: PLACES

Places are locations where we go to do different activities. Let's learn about common places we visit!

Common Places:

Place What We Do There
🏫 School We study and learn
🏛️ Museum We see art and history
🏪 Shop/Store We buy things
🏞️ Park We play and exercise
📚 Library We read and borrow books
🏥 Hospital We see doctors when sick
📝 Example Sentences:
  • I go to the library to read books.
  • We visit the museum on weekends.
  • My mother shops at the supermarket.

🧭 Part 2: DIRECTIONS

Directions tell us which way to go or where to turn. They help us find places!

Basic Directions:

  • ➡️ Turn right - Go to the right side
  • ⬅️ Turn left - Go to the left side
  • ⬆️ Go straight - Continue forward
  • 🔄 Go back - Return the way you came
  • ⤴️ Go up - Move to a higher level
  • ⤵️ Go down - Move to a lower level
📝 How to Give Directions:
  • "Turn right at the traffic light."
  • "Go straight until you see the school."
  • "Turn left after the library."
  • "The museum is on your right."

📏 Part 3: RULES (Must Follow!)

Rules are important instructions that help keep us safe and respectful in different places.

🤫 Museum Rules:

  1. Be quiet in the museum - Speak softly so others can enjoy
  2. Don't touch the exhibits - Look with your eyes only
  3. Walk slowly - Don't run inside
  4. Follow the guide - Listen to instructions

📚 Library Rules:

  1. Be quiet - Use whisper voices
  2. Return books on time
  3. Handle books carefully
  4. No eating or drinking
📝 Example Sentences:
  • We must be quiet in the library.
  • You must not run in the museum.
  • Students should follow the rules.

🦁 Part 4: ANIMALS (Singular & Plural)

When we talk about one animal, we use the singular form. When we talk about more than one, we use the plural form.

Singular (One) Plural (More than one)
wolf wolves
tiger tigers
elephant elephants
monkey monkeys
bird birds
deer deer (same!)
sheep sheep (same!)
fish fish (same!)
📝 Remember:
  • Most animals: add -s (cat → cats, dog → dogs)
  • Animals ending in -f or -fe: change to -ves (wolf → wolves, knife → knives)
  • Some animals stay the same (sheep → sheep, deer → deer)

🕐 Part 5: TELLING THE TIME

We use special phrases to tell time!

Time Expressions:

Time How to Say It
3:15 It's a quarter past three
2:45 It's a quarter to three
4:30 It's half past four
5:00 It's five o'clock
📝 Understanding Time:
  • Quarter past = 15 minutes after the hour (:15)
  • Quarter to = 15 minutes before the next hour (:45)
  • Half past = 30 minutes after the hour (:30)
  • O'clock = exactly on the hour (:00)
